The Great Fuzz Frenzy!

Grab this book!

I am in love with this book!

I heard about it a few years ago at a Georgia Social Studies Curriculum Training and just had to check it out! The kids love it! I use it every year now in my economics unit- scarcity!

The Great Fuzz Frenzy, by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel is all about how a group of prairie-dogs encounter a strange fuzzy thing— a tennis ball! At first they are too scared to touch it, but soon enough, the bunch whirls into chaos as each one wants their own piece! Talk about perfect for teaching scarcity! The kids love the pictures (especially the pull out page) and it’s a quick read with a ton of punch for instruction!

Check out the Author's website where an elementary school in Texas made a Fuzz Frenzy Pumpkin for Halloween! too cute!

(it also gives you a glimpse into this exciting story with GREAT illustrations)

  1. I LOVE that book! I bought it from Scholastic years ago because my oldest son used to pick fuzz off our blankets and roll the fuzz into a ball. He wanted to see how big he could make it. He did this from the time he was 2 years old to almost 7. When I read the book, it reminded me of him, so I just had to get it :) Love the name of your blog :) Looking forward to reading more from you!
